Turn IT On achieve SIMS Accredited Status
Turn IT On are incredibly proud to announce that we have achieved official SIMS Accredited Status with Capita.
Capita’s SIMS Accreditation Service recognises SIMS support teams providing high quality support to schools and aims to help these teams make further improvements to the service they offer. Capita believes the structured approach to the assessment and accreditation of SIMS support teams can enhance the services schools receive and will help them explore the full capability of SIMS.
As was pointed out by our Capita award manager, significant effort is required in applying for and achieving this status. It has been a lengthy and challenging process, headed up by Melanie Phillips, Turn IT On’s SIMS/FMS team manager. The application involved team evaluation and observation, school surveys and visits, development planning and feedback.
One of the many great outcomes of the application process was receiving the feedback from the school surveys, comments from which you can read here. Capita said that results from the school survey indicate we offer a very good level of service and value for money, for which our team should be congratulated.
All the schools that responded to the survey were entered into a Capita prize draw. Ashbrook School in Milton Keynes was the lucky winner of a digital camera. We are arranging with Capita a date in the coming weeks for the presentation to take place in which the SIMS team will be given their award and Sharon Kelly will receive the camera on behalf of the school. Check back soon for photos of the event!
Melanie is delighted at achieving the accreditation and believes it is testament to the great team of people working with her in the Turn IT On SIMS support office. All at Turn IT On are proud to be able to celebrate our SIMS team’s huge achievement.
