Set up a school radio station
Aisha Nasir, one of our consultants in London, has been helping Pakeman Primary School set up their own radio station. Each of the pupils at the school get a chance to try out their broadcasting skills during the weekly sessions that Aisha has been guiding. So far, the children have broadcast plays, interviews and book reviews. As the school states on their website, the station is used to “develop communication, literacy and team-working skills, build confidence and to give pupils a voice.”
The school’s cross-curricular broadcasts have received interest from the local Islington Tribune who covered the station on their regular online feature, “Our Neighbours’.
