Soltan Sun Ready Challenge
Looking out the window at the grey clouds and the heavy rain you might think we have just come back from the Christmas holidays rather than the May Half Term but it really is June!
As we all cross our fingers that the Sun will come back out again Boots have launched the 2017 Soltan Sun Ready campaign. This fun, free and curriculum-linked learning programme offers resources for primary and secondary school children and activities for parents.
Flexible and easy to use resources include videos and worksheets that can be used across Science, Language and Literacy, PSHE, English, Health and Wellbeing and Geography to help your pupils foster healthy and lasting sun care habits to ensure they have an active and sun-safe summer.
This year the campaign includes the Sun Ready Challenge – simply download the app from Google Play or the App Store and print the five ‘sun ready symbols’ before putting them up. The children then scan the ‘sun ready symbols’ with their device, bringing to life a 3D character that teaches them how to stay safe in the sun and sets special challenges and activities. A perfect challenge for use both in school or at home to raise children’s awareness and understanding of sun safety.
If you would like to register your school for free you can do that here. Schools that download the app and accompanying recourses can also win one of 30 free Soltan packs!
