The new academic year is here and we hope everyone had a chance to relax over the summer holidays. Our consultants are now back with their regular visits, the new MIS training schedule has started and the GDPR team are conducting audits and training updates.

Here at turn IT on it was a busy summer filled with our consultants completing Discover server installations, Windows 7 and Server 2008 upgrades alongside AV and Wireless installations by our installation team. The school holidays are the perfect time for installations and upgrades as the downtime has minimal impact on users. On the last Wednesday of the summer holidays we held our annual company training day, a highlight in the turn IT on calendar. This year we spent the day at Green Park Adventure Learning Center in Buckinghamshire and as many of the turn IT on team as possible joined in for a morning of updates and an afternoon of team building.

Due to the nature of what we do at turn IT on it is rare for everyone in the company to be in the same place at the same time so it was great to spend the day all together, putting a face to names we’ve only spoken to on email over the past year.

The day included a morning of updates, and an afternoon of team challenges including a quiz hosted by Chris Wild, Head of Commercial and orienteering hosted by Tom Welch, MD. Both bought out the competitive side throughout the turn IT on team.

We also spent some time in the morning looking back at the first 16 years of turn IT on, sharing our memories and milestones. We are looking forward to seeing where this academic year will take us and what milestones and memories we will be able to add to the timeline next year.
