Success For 2022/2023

Turn IT on has an established history of nurturing communities of staff passionate about using technology to improve the outcomes of students. We have worked in schools, Trusts and colleges for many years to help staff achieve Microsoft and Google qualifications. Staff training has been at the core of all our services. We understand technology on its own in schools is never enough. Staff and students must feel confident to use technology and will then start to enjoy its benefits. Our approach to training recognises that staff have varying levels of confidence and skill. We therefore have a flexible and iterative approach. We offer several free webinars available across the term to help in the use of M365 and Google Workspace and some more specialist courses that can help in the advanced use of such apps.

Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert

During the past academic year, we have coached over 80 teachers to achieve their Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) qualification by using technology to transform student learning and reduce staff workloads. These teachers are now leading the way in their own schools. The turn IT on MIEE programme connects staff with a community of like-minded individuals and improves pass rates compared to self-nomination.

Showcase Schools

Turn IT on has completed a third successive year of the twelve-month Showcase School Incubator Programme. As a trusted Microsoft partner we have mentored 9 new schools and colleges to be Showcase Schools and supported 12 more to become qualified for the second year. The programme delivers holistic transformation through working with digital leads to realise a vision that benefits everyone.

I joined the MIEE Programme with turn IT on and it put together all the best parts of Microsoft 365 for educators. The course was absolutely brilliant because it was all so relevant to what we were doing. I loved it and I would recommend it to anybody!
