Meet our Senior Leadership Team
Every successful business is built on a strong foundation, and our senior leadership team is at the core of ours. They’re the driving force behind our strategy, the spark for our innovation, and the unwavering support that helps our teams deliver their best every day.
We’re proud to introduce the talented individuals who lead by example, bring a wealth of expertise to the table, and work tirelessly behind the scenes to guide our company toward success.
Matthew Reader
School Development Team Manager
I joined Turn IT on in 2015 after leaving a career in teaching. My journey began as a Teaching Consultant, and I can still vividly recall my first interview with Ben and Tim Hart in Bethnal Green… I was definitely overdressed for the occasion!
At the time, my goal was to transition from teaching into technical support, and that’s exactly what happened. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many schools across London as their Technical Consultant, helping them achieve the best outcomes through technology.
In 2019, I was promoted to School Development Manager for London, a role where I witnessed some of the fastest and most significant growth in our region. This included the expansion of MATs (Multi-Academy Trusts) and secondary schools across London, the South East, and Kent. This success led to my progression to Strategic Account Manager and, eventually, my current position as School Development Team Manager.
As School Development Team Manager, I have the honor of leading a fantastic group of School Development Managers and Strategic Account Managers. Being responsible for such a senior team was always going to be a challenge, but I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with such talented and dedicated individuals. The past 12 months have truly flown by.
I’ve always admired the dedication of the School Development Team. They work tirelessly to deliver exceptional results for the schools we support, and the success stories they’ve achieved speak volumes. Their hard work has helped build the stellar reputation we enjoy today.
Beyond team leadership, I’m also involved in driving key initiatives across the business, including leading on our new cyber security product suite. This has given me the chance to collaborate with colleagues across the company, which has been an exciting and rewarding experience. I’m looking forward to guiding Turn IT on into its next phase of development, working with some of our largest accounts to date, as well as forging new partnerships.
When I look back on my time at Turn IT on, the highlights are the big wins. One of my most memorable moments was securing the contract with IMPACT Trust in Bromley. Winning this from an IT support provider that had been with the trust for nearly a decade was a remarkable achievement and a testament to our understanding of schools and their needs.
Over the past decade, I’ve made great friends and always found colleagues here to be brilliant and willing to help. I’ve enjoyed the variety of roles and challenges I’ve tackled, from running assemblies and after-school clubs as a Teaching Consultant to creating school websites and fixing wireless bridges as a Technical Consultant.
In my current role, while there’s no shortage of responsibility, I still encounter the occasional curveball that keeps me on my toes. It’s this dynamic and ever-evolving environment that makes my job so exciting and fulfilling.
