Yesterday was Census day in all schools. The Turn IT On SIMS team received and assisted over 100 support calls from schools in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes and Hillingdon.

Schools were mostly calling about  key areas  related to Top Up Funding and Adopted from Care: two new data items required on this year’s Census. Information relating to Adopted from Care Pupil Premium Plus can be found here.

Also collected in this Census, among other things, is the class type and class activity which provides a snapshot of the school.  Pupil numbers per class, teachers and support staff numbers are required. Our Turn IT On SIMS team provide guidance and support to school administration staff in completing these details in the Census.

The SIMS team will be supporting schools with their Census returns until the deadlines which are 17th January for Buckinghamshire schools, 22nd January in Oxfordshire and 24th January in Milton Keynes.
