Download the latest Computing At School newsletter
If you are a computing subject leader and haven’t already subscribed to the Computing At School (CAS) community website, we would recommend you do so now. Regular readers of the Turn IT On blog will know that we have endorsed the use of CAS in the past, particularly for its thorough overview of the new computing curriculum. The site is maintained and contributed to by education and IT professionals and aims to promote the teaching of computer science in schools. Subscribers to the website can access a wealth of information about upcoming events, training, conferences and schemes of work along with useful documents and latest news.
The CAS newsletter is a useful resource; their summer edition concentrating on the new computing curriculum. Included are articles on ways to approach the design of your school’s computing curriculum, suggested primary classroom apps for coding, ideas about how to introduce and develop programming at KS1, the benefits of coding in after-school clubs and much more. It is well worth a read and you can download it below.
