Comber Grove Primary School hold Computing Week
It looks like Comber Grove Primary School’s Computing Week has begun with a great suggestion to its students: to download the free software Scratch in order to make their own animations and computer games at home. Turn IT On has held lots of free training sessions for its schools explaining great ways of using Scratch in the classroom. If you are interested in finding out more about Scratch or other freeware that is great to use in lessons please email team.curriculum@turniton.co.uk.
Other items on Comber Grove’s Computing Week agenda include creating apps, making music and stargazing! If you would like advice about holding your own Computing Week, please get in touch with our Curriculum Team who will be happy to provide you with advice, suggestions and resources.
Daniel, our consultant at Comber Grove has recently begun teaching the school’s Code Club – a great after-school club where students can learn how to code web pages and other great activities. It sounds like Comber Grove Primary School will be producing the next Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg, so watch this space!
