Decoding the Computing Curriculum training – agenda released and last chance to book a place in Hackney and Oxford!
We are holding the first sessions of our Decoding the Computing Curriculum training this week in Hackney and Oxfordshire. The sessions aim to demystify the new computing curriculum, and will concentrate on specific strands and ways to implement them in the classroom.
The agenda for the training has now been released to delegates and is as follows:
- Starter activities on board for delegates to undertake
- Welcome and introduction
- Algorithm activity
- KS1 – Look at strands as a whole. Briefly discuss the main strands. Look at the focus strand and discuss ideas and activities
- Look at example activities to fit in with this strand
- KS2 – Look at strands as a whole. Briefly discuss the main strands. Look at the focus strand and discuss ideas and activities
- Look at example activities to fit in with this strand
- Q & A
