Enhancing teaching and learning runs through everything we do at turn IT on. All of our consultants are able to advise on hardware and software usage and can work with your teaching and support staff and small groups of pupils to provide advice and support on the delivery of ICT. This helps to ensure that technology is having the highest impact on learning.
Every expert within the turn IT on curriculum team has worked as a teacher and so has first-hand experience on the importance of ICT within the curriculum and all of the challenges that it brings.
Our specialist curriculum service will give you access to:
- Specialist teachers up to date with the latest computing curriculum developments and innovations, who can inspire your pupils to learn and express themselves in the digital environment
- E-safety expertise and ICT upskilling of your staff
- A clear direction and purpose in computing and ICT.
Our consultants can lead teaching sessions with your staff as observers, followed by supported sessions led by you. Our sessions can cover planning, training, team teaching, PPA cover, and assessment and reporting.
I have just observed our turn IT on consultant teaching computing to our year 2 children, it was a brilliant lesson! His modelling is exceptional. He has built great relationships with our children and has high expectations in learning. The level of work is challenging, children were all engaged and enjoying the lesson. Pupils make good progress in the lesson. It was a real pleasure to see the children loving learning.
